Online speech therapy in California

Much like our in-person services, speech-language therapy delivered online or virtually (called telehealth or teletherapy) utilizes parent coaching.

For children who might have trouble attending to the computer, your child’s speech-language therapist will work discuss a specific speech-language strategy, then you will try the strategy with your child. Then, they will give you an opportunity to self-reflect and will provide feedback and coaching regarding your use of the strategy.

For children who can sit in front of the computer and participate directly with the speech-language therapist, they may model strategies directly with your child before you try them. Ready to learn more? Contact us to schedule a free 15 minute online or phone consultation to decide if virtual services will work for you! Virtual speech therapy is only available in California.

Online speech-language therapy for your toddler.

In this example of an online speech-language therapy session, Dr. Katherine works with a mother and her young child. Even though the child is too young to pay attention to Dr. Katherine during the appointment, she receives therapy that her mother provides (called parent mediated intervention) after they discuss specific strategies and make goals for the interaction. Then, Dr. Katherine provides coaching and feedback about the strategy.
